Hi I'm Emily and I am delighted to bring Smart Raspberry to the Mid Sussex and Lewes area. Baking is what first drew me to cooking, I spent a lot of time as a child making cakes, biscuits and desserts with my mother before working in a local patisserie. They were kind enough to put me through training at Westminster College, London, before circumstances beyond my control led me to cooking at a preschool. It was here that I found myself immersed in the inquisitive minds of young children, their drive to learn and explore the world around them and the enjoyment it can bring to inspire them. I gained my level 3 childcare qualification and began working at an alternative nursery, but despite spending all my time exploring the farm setting with the children in my care I really missed cooking. As you can imagine, I was thrilled to discover Smart Raspberry, an opportunity to teach children and their families how relaxing and rewarding cooking can be and the excitement it can bring, having been shocked to discover that the majority of people in the world today can’t even boil an egg. I run after school clubs, preschool classes, holiday clubs and birthday parties, and very much looks forward to seeing you soon!
